Sourcing context: USDA's Foreign Agricultural Service Uruguay livestock report (Sept 4, 2026) says grain finishing is growing fast there. Industry contacts estimate about 900,000 Uruguayan cattle could be finished on grain in 2026, and private estimates put grain-fed cattle at roughly 40–45% of slaughter in 2027. Many pasture-finished cattle also get grain supplements for several months. This is country-level data and says nothing specific about Frigorífico Pando or this ribeye, which Crowd Cow labels "100% Grass Fed".
