Every fact, and where we read it
1,722 records behind the scores: what each seller says about its beef, the page we read it on, what we checked and found nothing, and every price change with its source. Nearly all of it is the sellers’ own words; we mark what isn’t. How we use it

Global Animal Partnership — GAP Animal Welfare Certified (any Step): not listed for beef (checked 2026-10-06). GAP publishes no farm/operation search; its public registry is the 'For Shoppers' list of G.A.P. Certified br…ands and online partners (~58 brand entries, all on one page; /shoppers/page/2/ is empty). Searched that list plus GAP's own site search (admin-ajax autocomplete, which indexes the brand entries) for 'chicago steak', 'mychicagosteak': no match. Brand-level only, so a seller selling GAP-certified beef under a supplier's brand would not appear. |

American Humane Certified — American Humane Certified: not listed for beef (checked 2026-10-06). American Humane Society's 'Certified Farm Producers' list: all 97 producers on one page (FacetWP total_rows 97, per_page -1…). American Grassfed Association — AGA Certified Grassfed: not listed for beef (checked 2026-10-06). Not in AGA's 'Find A Certified AGA Producer' directory. That page embeds a kViewer list, and all 94 records came back from…its records API. We searched farm name, contact, email and website for the seller's name. 11 records show no farm name; their map points fall in IA/WI/IN/MI/AR/OK/NY, so they can't be tied to any seller. |

Audubon Conservation Ranching — Audubon Certified bird-friendly land: not listed for beef (checked 2026-10-06). Not in Audubon's 'ACR Enrolled Retailers' layer, the ArcGIS map embedded on Audubon's 'Where To Buy Bird-Fri…endly Beef & Bison' page. We pulled all 2,736 records through the layer's query API (last edited 2026-08-28) and searched the Retailer, Brand, Source Ranch, Website and Address fields. Audubon's public enrolled-ranches layer gives no ranch names, so ranches can't be matched. |

Land to Market (Savory Institute) — Ecological Outcome Verified (Land to Market Verified): not listed for beef (checked 2026-10-06). Not among the 62 member-brand logos on Land to Market's public /members page. It has no…landtomarket.com/partners/ profile and no hit in landtomarket.com site search. Caveats: the page claims '100+ members brands' but shows 62. It uses the old site nav and isn't linked from the current homepage. LTM says its live list of verified brands is visible only after a portal login. savory.global returned HTTP 403 to every request, so Savory's own pages weren't checked. |

Hormones Certifier check |
USDA NHTC Program — Non-Hormone Treated Cattle (NHTC) approved source (EU export verification): not listed for beef (checked 2026-10-06). Searched the AMS 'Official Listing of Approved Sources of Non-Hormone Treated Catt…le' (linked from ams.usda.gov/services/imports-exports/nhtc; Last Revised April 25, 2025; 14 approved sources: AzTx Cattle Co., BeefTraxx, Big Blue Sale Barn, EarthClaims, Elite Beef Producers, FSNS Certification & Audit, IMI Global (Where Food Comes From), Legacy Verified, Lindsay Ranch, M&R Cattle Company, Morgan Ranch, Ranchers Connecting Ranchers, Samson LLC, TechniTrack). No match by brand or parent. Caveat: individual farms/ranches enrolled under these cattle-management-group programs are listed on FSIS PartnerShare, which is not public; the 'NHTC Supplier List' .xls linked on the AMS page is a blank template. So a seller's cattle could be NHTC-enrolled through a CMG without appearing on this public list. |
